Hi, I am Elena. I live in Germany, but I am from Russia (from the Republic of Karelia, which is very similar to Finland, where I did my bachelor degree). I am friendly, kind, honest and direct and I am happy to meet people who have similar attitude (: I am totally in love with life and the more I learn the more I feel like I don't know nothing. I don't like traditional way of traveling, I prefer to have a real local insight, I want to feel the life of a place. Therefore, I am happy to stay with the locals and meet local people and I am happy to be useful for people traveling to my home.

Anything, I have to try everything. I am discovering and I hope it is never gonna end. But my very favourite so far: Music. Hip-hop, Rock (particularly Indie Rock), Blues, Jazz, Electronic music, Classical music, Soul music ... actually literally everything. Books. Every book is a masterpiece: someone has made it. I love Dostoevsky, Remarque, Ayn Rand, Palahniuk, Mayakovsky, Stephen King, Murakami, how can they be so great? Series: Friends, Twin Peaks, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Scrubs, How I met your mother, House M.D, Family Guy Movies: Mostly I love documentaries or movies which have a real story behind, but I also love watching something interesting, motivating and fascinating (Pulp Fiction, Léon, movies with Will Smith, Intouchables, Yes man!, The Bucket List and so on). I think Lynch and Tarantino are geniuses. Ah! I love biographies, I think it is the easiest way to learn starting from history and finishing with beekeeping, you can picture and memorize anything via someone's life. One more reason why I like meeting people, everyone has a story to tell.

I would be happy to teach people I meet everything I know. It is difficult to name all of it, but it could be for example Russian / Finnish / German culture, drawing, gym training for girls, nutrition, cooking (especially Russian cuisine). As for me, the main thing in couchsurfing is meeting people, having a great time, enjoying communication and sharing experience.
