Hi, I'm Frank and I currently live in Tübingen, in the South of Germany, close to Stuttgart, but I was born in Amsterdam, raised in Almere, and then studied aerospace engineering in Delft, in the Netherlands. Tübingen is a cute little university town, worth a visit when you are in Stuttgart. Over the last 5 years I've done research to get my phd degree, and now I am almost done, I'll defend my thesis on the 15th of November in Delft. I am also looking for jobs around Europe, which is why I now visit a number of cities and would like to get in touch with locals, to see how I like the place and whether or not I could live there :-) People told me I am open, extrovert, and direct, but also honest and kind. I like discussing and learning from people about science, philosophical topics, politics, etc. I'd say I'm an easy person to be around with.

I would like to expand my meeting-people-circle a bit, I enjoy meeting people with a different background, but that doesn't happen enough for my taste. Also, I will soon (start of 2017) move to another place somewhere in Europe, since I am done with my current job. I do not know where this will be and to find out whether or not I could enjoy living in a city I would like to get in touch with locals.
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
I've built an actual race car once, together with 60 other people, as a hobby, sort of. Driven from Holland to Kazakhstan by car. Experiencing what it's like to be 'a foreigner' since 4 years ago.

Languages, I should practice more Farsi, as I'm planning to go to Iran for a month or so end of this year. Been practicing occasionally for about 2 years now, I'd say my level is like A2 or so, although lately I've been slacking a bit. I'd be happy to get some more practice.

All kinds of technical stuff, but also politics, the situation in the world, sports. I try to do sports often, but it doesn't always work. I enjoy bouldering, I occasionally go cycling on my road race bike, although lately I've been trying out MTBing a bit and like it a lot better... :-)
