I am currently on a hitchhiking trip for the summer of 2018. I am looking for one last great adventure before I have to start thinking about careers and paying off student loans. I have never hitchhiked before, so this will all be a new experience for me.

I studied for one semester in Tanzania. While I was there, I spent about half of the time camping in many of the world famous national parks and nature reserves that can be found there. One night, I had an elephant stick his trunk under my tent while I was asleep inside of it! I must have set up my tent in the tastiest grass around! I also had the opportunity to stay with two home-stays in my time there, one of which was a traditional Masai boma. After the semester, I traveled solo in the country for another month and ended up in Zanzibar, where I learned how to kite-surf.
