I have subscribed to Couchsurfing because I'd like to see new places and meet local people there. To me, this is the best way to explore the culture and get the best out of a stay in a new city or country.

I once randomly met an 88-year old man called Umberto in Pisa, whom I ended up spending the whole day with because he insisted on showing me his city. He was probably one of the most kind-hearted and interesting people I’ve met so far.
