I believe that people need people. I've signed up to this, to not only travel but to meet new people whose beliefs, thoughts and experiences are different to mine and also similar so that I may learn from them and also share my experience and knowledge with them. I enjoy having deep conversations across many topics and also being silly. I can do small talk but have a low patience for it. I enjoy painting, reading, exploring, trying out new things and questioning old ones. I like sitting in busy places, drinking wine, chatting and watching the world go by. I have a lot of interests but not many passions, I hope for the latter to change, which it slowly is. I seem as fairly quiet person at first but open up quite quickly around the right kind of people :)

Couchsurfing opens up the ability to travel anywhere and already have new friends there when you arrive. A hotel is lonely and expensive, and promotes you to travel only along the tourists' path without ever coming to know the people or the city and I'd rather make meaningful connections, instead.
