My name is Hugo and I'm 22 years old. I am Portuguese from Aveiro, a very cute city near the Atlantic Ocean in Northern Portugal. I did my Bachelor's in Translation (Portuguese - French - Spanish) meaning I'm actually a translator :D and now I'm on my Master's Degree in Tourism Management and Planning so I can be a professional... tourist! xD I love to discover new cultures and that's why I did my first Erasmus in Liège, Belgium, for 6 months in 2023 and this year I did my second Erasmus in Padova, Italy, for another 6 months. I also did short term Erasmus+ projects (+/- 1 week) in Romania, Türkiye, Latvia and Sicily. I'm very interested and passionate by Cultural Tourism and Cultural Heritage, especially intangible aspects such as popular songs and dances, all this because I am a folk dancer since a long time ago. I also love aviation! I use FlightRadar24 all the time which helped me knowing a lot of geography. I can easily identify the aircraft model. :D I can speak fluently French and Spanish, besides Portuguese, and English of course. I'm also learning Italian and Chinese now!

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing looks like a very good way to meet new people from all over the world. In February 2025 I hosted 2 French girls in my house because they needed to catch a bus early and they didn't live in the city center like I do, so I thought: "I have space to receive people, how interesting would be to host more poeple here?". Furthermore, this could also be an advantage for me to practice a different type of Tourism, closer to the local community!
音乐、电影与书籍
I am a pop lover, nowadays I'm very into Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga (went to her concert in November in Paris) and Dua Lipa. :D My last readings were actually papers for my thesis :D Besides that I love travel literature (to inspire myself).
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
Start travelling alone by plane with 12 years old to visit relatives in other countries (I'm very proud of it hehe).
我能与房东分享的
Portuguese culture (such as folk dances :D) and foreign language from a Translator :)
