I just came from Antarctica (spent there half a year). It's a place which changed my life abruptly and now I have so many things to do. Trying to be a life-explorer. Last year I received my Master's degree in climate science (Saint Petersburg State University/Hamburg University). I'm originally from Russia (Saint Petersburg). I'm in love with travelling, every year I'm taking part in scientific expeditions to the High Arctic region. I've also been to Chile doing research and meeting local culture. There are no borders in the world. That is my opinion. Permanent ambition to know more and more is the best thing, which people could use for improving themselves.

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I´m on couchsurfing because I´m geographer. It´s crucial for me to know traditions and habitats of native citizens. That´s why I´m trying to stay at houses of local people. I would also like to host someone in my city. I can provide excursions and trips outside the city. There are many things to discuss and spread in this life, so why should we keep silence?
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
We are used to use our bodies as a sledge when doing research tracks in Antarctica ('cause it's much faster then overcoming hills by foot:) When I´ve been to Chile I wanted to know some traditional dance. I´ve learned it (Cueca, come on it's not difficult) and even showed it during folkloric concert (spontaneously).

SO MANY STORIES ABOUT ANTARCTICA (PHOTOS OF PINGUINS, OF COURSE)! I can provide you some facts on my area of study - climate science. And there is a space for discussion - since it's not clear (even for me) what is happening. I would be happy to meet people with progressive points of view. You know, ideas worth spreading.
