Basically, I am a girl who strongly believes in the kindness of strangers, and that is why I'm here. :) I started couchsufing at the age of 20, and the friendly Australian people made my first CS experiences soooooo amazing! And that's why I decided to go for the master degree in Melbourne University. Thanks to the cultural diversity of Melbourne, I met loads of interesting people (locals and travelers) and got the chance to learn from everyone. I'm a buff of western cultures cuz they are totally different from the background where I come from. when I experience the local life, relish the local delicacies and explore the cultures with local people, it feels like a whole new world to me. and I can't wait to see more of the world within my limited life. I am quite open-minded and adventurous, and I always wanna have a go at new things and share interesting stories or travel experiences with new friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I surf, hang out with surfers and go to the couch surfing meeting. Now I'm going to Germany to study, so I won't be able to host travelers, but when I am back home in China, I'd love to. Although many people in my country do not understand or trust CS, I am really convinced that CS can do us so much good. It is about making friends from different cultural background and sharing cultures and stories with each other. It is not just about a free bed. 我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
I guess it has to be my first CS experience when I was 20. I stayed in Australia for 50 days and that was the best adventure I had ever had! I surfed with several hosts in Melbourne, Sydney and Gold Coast and encountered a whole bunch of interesting guys during my trip. They are loads of fun to hang out with and I really hope that I could meet them again one day in the future.

I'm an outdoor person, really enjoy the activities in the nature, like hiking and camping. but sadly as a girl who grew up in a big Chinese city, I missed out on a lot. :( honestly I'm so eager to get a chance to try those things one by one! like skiing and surfing (I mean the kind without a couch lol) besides, I teach myself drawing in my spare time, mostly watercolor and sketch. I'm also learning guitar and German by myself haha. All kinds of musical instruments and languages are intriguing to me. xD
