For the couch surfing experience. Sure, hotels are nice and you usually know what you're getting, but they're also kind of sterile. Couch surfing is a better way to get a feel for the city you're visiting.

Some of my favorite music includes: Chvrches, Florence + the Machine, Beyonce, Ryn Weaver, The Wombats, Vampire Weekend, Purity Ring just to name a few. I'm more interested in following the news or reading think pieces than reading novels and fiction. As for what I watch, I'm a big fan of Netflix and Amazon originals as well as HBO programming.
