I graduated with a BA and MA in Education from the state of Washington. I am bilingual in Vietnamese and English. Having been a resident of Guam for over 22 years I understands the culture and specific needs of the teachers and students in Micronesia, Palau, and the Federated States of Micronesia.

The following are some books that made an impact on me. However, there are so much more. The Prophet , a book of 26 prose poetry essays written in English by the Lebanese artist, philosopher and writer Kahlil Gibran. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values (ZAMM), a work of philosophical fiction by Robert Pirsig, Dune and other novels by Frank Herbert. The following are some movies that made and impact on me. However, there are so much more. The Qatsi trilogy is the informal name given to a series of three films produced by Godfrey Reggio and scored by Philip Glass: Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of balance(1982) Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation(1988) Naqoyqatsi: Life as War(2002) The titles of all three films are words from the Hopi language, in which the word qatsi means "life." Rashomon directed by Akira Kurosawa - This film is known for a plot device which involves various characters providing alternative, self-serving and contradictory versions of the same incident. I like scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, paddling, walking the beach, going to the movies, trying new places to eat, cooking, having a latte or two or just spend time with people conversing on a diversity of topics. I thrive on intellectual stimulation.
