A bit of background: I used to be a typical corporate drone. I had a stable career in property management and my goal was to save for the house, the fence, and the dog. I gave that up in 2015. Now my goal is the van and the dog. I currently work seasonally in various capacities to allow me to travel on a minuscule and frugal budget. Right now I'm delivering groceries throughout greater Boston. People say I have a strong personality. I'm easy to approach and one of my better aspects is that I make others comfortable. I am often described as a dichotomy. I strive to be respectful and mindful of other traditions, cultural values, and opinions. I try my best to live in the moment and I always want to try/do new things. I have a "let's do it" attitude that sometimes puts me in adventurous and/or embarrassing situations. I have a lot of stories.. To focus more on my traveling. In the past two years I have: - Visited an intentional community (aka hippie commune) - Lived on and traveled with a caravan of painted school buses doing volunteer work in small communities. - "Roughed it" during a transitional period - Lived and worked at Mt. Rainier towards the end of their summer season. - I have driven from Seattle to San Diego (the U.S. West Coast) and from the West Coast to the East Coast almost entirely solo. - Spent about a month in a half in Thailand and two and a half weeks in Cambodia. - I explored seasonal agricultural work as an apple picker in New Hampshire for 3 months.

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I love that couchsurfing lets you connect with people in a way that renting a room in an air bnb can not. Hostels can be fun but making a new friend every night can be exhausting, also I'm too broke to stay in hostels all of the time. Actually, I've never stayed in one in the U.S. Though I like my fair share of book time I am much more interested in getting to know people and getting a sense of the culture in each area I visit. Learning and sharing with fellow travelers and travel friendly people is the way to go. I love the Couchsurfing Hangout App which absolutely saved me when I was bored in Portland, OR and I had so much fun when I went to a CS Taco Meet up in Seattle, WA. I've only been the local Boston meet up once because it turned out I knew half of the people there already. Update: The Hangout App also saved my Songkran in Chiang Mai, Thailand!!!
音乐、电影与书籍
Anything Sci-fi! I mostly read corny fantasy novels that no one has heard of. And am totally guilty of owning a Lisa Kleypas novel or too.

Amazing in what way? How about I leave this one to be determined and if we meet we can ask each other in person ( :

I love cooking for people! I can provide a ton of advice about traveling on a budget and if you're interested in visiting Southeast Asia I can give you a ton of tips. I know a bit of American sign language and can teach some basic computer skills/Microsoft suite.
