CURRENT MISSION Live and Learn ABOUT ME I grew up in the Los Angeles area. My background is Palestinian and Sicilian, Italian. I studied at UC Santa Cruz in the central cost of California. I am in a Master's program at UC Santa Barbara. I left California in June 2008 to study Arabic in Oman for the summer, I was in Rwanda, teaching for Network for Africa (www.network4africa.org/). Since my travels in Africa, I have finished my Master's Degree and am now working as a teacher in Thimphu Bhutan, the small kingdom in the Eastern Himalayan Mountains. HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just joined CS, in Sep. 2008 while I was traveling in Rwanda... I have had a wonderful experience with CS in Rwanda. I have a place to stay for others while I am in Santa Barbara California. I have also CSed on my way through Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Turkey and on to the Middle East. I am now living in Thimphu, Bhutan teaching at Pelkhil High School. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Experienced CS in Africa particularly Rwanda, and loved the connection and support it provides. CS is a wonderful idea, experience and is changing the world.

At the moment, I am reading tears of the desert, and am interested in seeing some of the films made in or about Rwanda. I love music from around the world, fusion, Reggae, Yemeni, Middle Eastern, Jazz, quality hip hop, Latin, ect.
