I actually discovered that I was doing Couchsurfing before even knowing the website, thanks to friends who were traveling on the island where I lived (Fakarava). I hosted them in my garden for a whole month, and the vibe was just amazing! :) Since then, I created an account here, and I truly believe Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to meet helpful, open-minded and friendly travelers.
