I have had the good fortune of spending several years traveling around the US and living in new places four to five months at a time. Few things compare to sitting on the beach on Martha's Vineyard in the middle of summer. I lived in Germany for 3 years. During that time, I was also able to deliver a speech before members of the German Parliament about my experiences as an exchange student.
