2019: backpacking the US after a year and a half in South America and NZ; this time I’ve got my boyfriend Diego in tow! we are big fans of slow travel, new foods, cooking, dancing, hiking, and puppies 2018: currently solo backpacking South America (with a brief 3-month stopover in NZ to backpack with my sister!) late 2017: i left my job in NYC -- where I was all about reading books in Central Park, sneaking into musicals and savoring the playbills, trying new whiskey cocktails, bouncing between yoga studios, and most of all, eating good food with good friends -- to get to know a new part of the world, its cuisines and literature and people and culture! 2012: I lived in Spain as an au pair and first started Couchsurfing!

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
The trifecta of things that make me happy looks something like 1) great people 2) great memories 3) not spending a lot of money. Solo backpacking in general provides me all of those things, and couchsurfing specifically has always been a great part of that. My first couchsurfing experience was in Barcelona when I was 18 and it was fabulous. My hosts cooked for me, let me use their shampoo, watched Harry Potter en español with me, and took me with them to a San Joan beach festival at Bogatell, where we drank beers and jumped over bonfires. I was absolutely hooked.
音乐、电影与书籍
Books: A Little Life, My Beautiful Friend, All the Light We Cannot See, Jane Eyre, East of Eden, The Princess Bride, anything by Malcolm Gladwell or George Saunders; Music: quite literally everything (my Spotify currently cluttered up with reggaeton / power ballads / soundcloud rap but I'm down to listen to anything with a melody or beat)
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事

我的兴趣
I'm a little into everything—hiking (but more of a day-trip gal), cooking & eating, movies & music, art & culture, peanut butter & jelly, etc. etc. etc. What jazzes me more than anything else is learning new things, whether those new things are languages or dishes or card games or anything in between.
