I an elementary school teacher in Western Massachusetts who loves meeting new people and learning about different people's perspectives. This year, I am taking a year off from teaching to do some exploring and soul searching. My family, friends, and community are important to me and I love expanding my circle when I am in a new place. I also love outdoor adventures, like hiking, biking, and kayaking. I traveled to Spain in the fall of 2022 and hiked the Camino de Santiago. I also volunteered in Jerusalem to learn more about the history in Israel and Palestine. Now, I’m on my way to northern India where I’ll be apart of a yoga teacher training!

My favorite part of traveling is meeting new people, learning about their lives, and seeing their hometown from their perspective. I have been a member of Warmshowers for ten years and have hosted many bicycle tourists. I'm trying Couchsurfing for the first time this year! I am eager to meet people and make connections.

I enjoy sharing recipes and cooking with people. I'm not a great cook, but I love learning new cuisines and helping out in the kitchen. I'm also really good with kids and enjoy organizing games or art projects with kids. I'm interested in learning more about local food and local ecology.
