CURRENT MISSION To reduce negative impacts and create positive ones! ABOUT ME My name is Kellen Utecht and I am from North Dakota (USA). I grew up in the town of Underwood (pop. 700), and I am an American villager. As a result of growing up in a small town, I am always seeking a sense of community no matter where I live. I have been fortunate to find this while serving in the Peace Corps in Sandanski, Bulgaria for two years and also while I attended graduated school in Arkansas. Currently, I living in Istanbul with my beautiful wife, Tugce. We live in Besiktas and I love it because even though Istanbul is a major city, Besiktas is a very vibrant and warm community. It is this search for a sense of community that makes me want to explore and meet more people. PHILOSOPHY I believe Willy Wonka summed it up best when he said, "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams."

我的兴趣
My main interest at present is learning about the environmental and social impacts of global consumerism. More specifically, I am interested in how to reduce negative impacts that arise in the supply chain of products. Currently, I am doing an internship with WWF-Turkey and am helping them create a plan for engaging the private sector in becoming better stewards of fresh water. In addition to sustainability work, I enjoy discussions about traveling, music, sports, etc.
