CURRENT MISSION To find my life purpose ABOUT ME A very quiet person living in the country. I have two teenage sons who live with me part time, and a small dog. I enjoy the surrounding environment and I'm very happy to show visitors around. Have couch surfed overseas and have had people stay with me. PHILOSOPHY Life is a discovery. Each day is a new one to explore and if you're traveling you get consumed by this huge world of ours. Make the most of everything but most importantly find the real you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just joined up again after a couple of years of being busy with life. I hope to participate as a traveller, a host or a member of the local groups/communities. I enjoy the company of others. If you stay with me I will give you your space but it would be desirable if you tried to fit into my family life. I love hearing about the history, viewpoint and cultural differences of both travelers and hosts. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Used CouchSurfing while in Sweden in 2007 and have had some people stay with me both here in Korumburra and in Bendigo. All experiences so far have been positive and enjoyable.

I have eclectic tastes in my choices of movies, television, books and music. I'm fairly mainstream and generally conservative but I do surprise people with my left of centre interests from time to time. I find it difficult to balance my age with the popular culture and definitely don't want to give the impression of being past it or trying too hard to keep up. I play the guitar for relaxation. I'm not good but that only matters if someone else is listening.

I've seen some amazing places in my life. I've been to Scandinavia, backpacked through Poland, volunteered in Vietnam and trekked the Himalayas but I am astounded by the beauty of my own backyard. Tasmania has some world class wilderness to explore and right here in South Gippsland are some of the most beautiful beaches that are never crowded.

My experiences, stories and company. I'm happy to do my share and fit into the lifestyle of my hosts. I would also offer their hospitality in return if ever they find themselves in my home town or area.

I'm a primary school teacher so a lot of my time is taken up with planning and preparation but I take time out for walks and hikes, trips to the beach or mountains. Reading and playing my guitar when I get some quiet time.
