**My first time couchsurfing -- I've done extensive AirBnB guesting and hosting. My last backpacking trip solo in SE Asia made me feel more comfortable approaching strangers, so I'm giving this a shot.** I am a nurse born and raised in Quebec. I live and breathe Montreal food, politics, and joie de vivre. I am a bit of a chameleon and can blend in with most crowds, depending on my definition of fun in that particular moment. I also have nursing stories and an inappropriately dark sense of humour. I'm somewhat of an unconventional personality trapped in an Asian physique (TRANSLATE: I am 38 turning 28, but have the soul of a 68 year old.)

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I caught the travel bug in my 20s while volunteering in Mexico and LOVE to discover the local lifestyle, whether it's getting buzzed on house wine and Coppa meat along the narrow streets of Corsica, organic farming in a Costa Rican co-op, or sipping whiskey cocktails in an East Village speakeasy. I'm generally low-maintenance and can sleep on a padded floor or ride in the back of a chicken coop. WHY I'M NOT HOSTING RIGHT NOW: I'm currently renting out my condo to two people, one of whom I found on CS. So my place is a bit packed.
音乐、电影与书籍
Music: British Invasion, Motown, and generally anything 60s. Dancing to 80s synth pop and New Wave is usually fun. Movies: Miyazaki animation, mindless CGI-packed action, European dark humour. Books: Most of my literature in recent years consisted of reference books, though my introduction to adult literature from Roald Dahl has been delightfully wicked. If you'd like to know which subjects, we can chat about that over coffee/tea.
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
A few amazing things that I've had the PRIVILEGE of doing are caring for the tiniest of babies, advocating for Indigenous people, and meeting incredible friends along my global journey of discovery. As a child, I threw my goldfish in the garbage to prevent it from cannibalizing my other ones. Does that count?

Don't forget to renew your passport and buy cash. You never know when you'll need to get up and go. Buy some form of health insurance. You never know when you'll need to lie down and be aware of your body's messages.

Things about me (as a guest): I don't smoke or do drugs, but I'm not offended by either. I don't (usually) party hard, but I can be down for a night of anything from political discussions over a good latte or pint of beer, to clubbing to 80s New Wave, to cheering people on while they strip-karaoke (yes, we have that in Montreal, among many other kinky, quirky delights). I love to talk about politics and food, and food politics. If that's not your thing, you can take me dancing.
