Being a linguist I'm interested in languages, hence, customs and habits of other nations. I find it vital to be an open-minded person exposed to the world. I have different hobbies. I think that Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to learn more about a country from people who live there. That's probably the major thing I'm looking for. And I'd like to share knowledge about my own country, tell you about its history and culture, explain what living in Russia means, give you a deeper insight into our traditions, not mentioning a great opportunity for you to try traditional Russian dishes, such as pancakes or porridge.
