I study International Relations and Development Studies (minored in German language) and am very interested in learning about the perspectives of different people, hearing new stories, and picking up swear words in foreign languages. I am also very partial to art galleries and a beer or two :) Unfortunately I am unable to host at the moment, but am always happy to act as a tour guide/spend some time with anyone visiting Wellington!

I am a big fan of Haruki Murakami, Yann Martel, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Patrick Ness in terms of books. Musically, some of my favourites are Norah Jones, Keaton Henson, Leon Bridges, and any kind of slow jazz/soul/blues music. Although I most definitely also enjoy upbeat music you can dance to as well.

Up and moved to the other side of the world, twice! I lived in Switzerland for a year when I was 17, and have just lived in Baden-Württemberg in Germany for 6 months. Both were equally tied as one of the best experiences of my life. I also volunteered at our local refugee shelter, and am always interested in learning more about international perspectives, so that I can take that home with me and use the new experiences to interact better with humans of all cultures.
