Hey, I'm Louis, an avid traveller and train driver living in Melbourne! I love being part of the couch surfing community as we can exchange our cultures, love for travel and share our cities hidden secrets. I aim to live the local way of life and discover hidden gems that are otherwise left untouched. When I'm home I am passionate to host people and show Melbourne's hidden secrets, great food and coffee spots as well as sharing tips and useful information that will help you have an amazing time in Australia! When Im travelling, I am respectful of others and love to help out where I can and meet people from around the world. To meet new like minded people around the world and to learn new things. I love learning about the local customs and traditions of the places i visit hence i think couch surfing is a great way to achieve these things.

Why just one? My top 3 have been: - Volunteering at a rural hospital in East Timor. - Hitchhiking through the Pakistani mountains. - Getting stranded on a little atoll in Kiribati and staying with a local family on it.

I used to be a chef, so can teach how to cook. I can give insight on how to experience Australia in ways which aren't only more authentic- but also many times more budget friendly (I know Australia can be expensive) I have traveled a lot and love to listen to other travellers travel stories too. I believe traveling is the best form of education!
