Hi, I'm Riley, a filmmaker and a photographer based in Taiwan. I'm also a nature lover and a practitioner of permaculture. Recently I’m learning the knowledge about the sea due to a roundabout trip by kayaking along the Formosa island. I like to hear stories, and observing people. I like the moment that ppl talk from the deep of their mind regardless what kind of feeling they have. That’s the most precious experience I can have with one person. Also, I really like indigenous culture, I’m interested in their handicraft, folk lives and the way they react to world nowadays.

To me, the meaning of travel is the understanding of different cultures, backgrounds, stories... and I really like listen to others share their own stories. That's why I choose this way to travel.

I love post-rock, shoegaze, folk music, jazz, classical, and electronic. Since I’m a filmmaker, film has become a part of my life, and here are some directors I really admire to:Edward Yang, Andrej Tarkovsky, Ingmar Bergman, Won Kar Wai, Wes Anderson, Kiewslowski, Bi Gan, Richard Linklater, Hou Hsiang Hsien etc. Modern literature and Chinese classical poems affect me a lot either.
