To find new friends, breathe an international atmosphere , doing something good for people, because I wanna live in a positive world.......what goes around comes around :) Here is an explanation of how I see hosting in Coushsurfing , so please read this , before sending your request :) I love spending time with the guests, talking , walking, having a beer or two with them, or more activities (I'm quite flexible and open to many different things) hosting just for the couch and very (or no) little time to spend together is not my idea of CS, I believe it's not what CS is meant for. For me, at least Hotel-like experience would definitely work better in a hotel/hostel :) I know, it's at a cost, but sorry :) Saving some money is always good and it is a solid reason to do this, but it should not be the ONLY reason. As a host (and a guest too) I love the overall experience of CS This is one of the reasons why I prefer not to host on weekdays , when I have (hopefully) just a few hours in the evening and my things to do. And I guess this is why I have good references but I don't host too much, I prefer having a quality hosting, not just quantity ;) IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!! - it's ok if we find an agreement on whatsapp but every request must be then registered and confirmed on Couchsurfing. There are several reasons behind this, experience helps :) If the request is not confirmed on CS, it is not valid PLEASE!!!! if you change your plans it is fine, but it's polite and correct to INFORM me about that. Hopefully in due advance already happened twice (update, 3) , that "supposed-to-come" guests disappeared without a word (or with a very late warning) because they "suddenly change their plans and forgot to tell me" . Or we can say things as they really are, they probably send multiple requests, take a couple of them (just in case) , choose one and forget about the other one I don't think this is fair , hosts are arranging their plans in order to welcome you and this should be respected Thanks
