I am a student currently studying abroad at the Universitat de Barcelona and living with a host family here! I am very friendly and outgoing and love meeting new people. I love going to museums and learning about the culture of the places I visit. I am very open-minded and love to engage in conversation and have fun. I am a pre-med student with a major in Anthropology and Sociology and minors in Chemistry and Spanish and I plan on attending medical school after graduation. I am very passionate about medicine and the medical field and love learning about health care in different countries. I hope to be a surgeon one day and work for Médecins Sans Frontières. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet local people and I hope to start hosting travelers when I am back in Chicago!

I am on couchsurfing because I want to meet local people to have conversations with and learn about the places I will be traveling to. Also, I am a broke college student who loves to travel to new places and I really want to spend my money (the little bit I have to travel with) on museums and cultural experiences rather than lodging!

One amazing thing I have done is climb Machu Piccu. It was truly eye-opening and one of the most awe-inspiring, surreal experiences of my life. The pictures did not do it justice and there is nothing like it in the world! The climb up at dusk was extremely difficult, especially with the effect that the difference in altitude has on breathing, but when you made it to the top, it was the most rewarding feeling to watch the sunset over the mountains at the top of Machu Piccu.
