My name is Marjolein Leen, and I am from the Netherlands. I finished my major physical therapy last Februar and started traveling right afterwards. I spent 4 months in Asia and heading now to Central America. I’m traveling with one of my best friends in Yucatán for 2 weeks and we would love to hang out with local people and families. Her name is Iris and she is almost a doctor! We love to do active stuff together, so for sure we took our hiking boots/running shoes in our backpack with us!! Last we year we went with our bicycle to France, we went to Switzerland and now we are ready for the next level, mexico!!

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
My first Couchsurfing experience was in de USA and an Indian guy hosted us and he was so nice!! I came to Asia starting this year and I didn’t know it was a big thing there as well! I really wanted to try but it just didn’t work out for some reason. I love to hang out with locals and see what you guys are doing, different then us. I don’t really like big touristic cities and that’s actually exactly why I’m on Couchsurfing now. To experience local life.

I love to read books! I even bought this e reader for traveling and it is so convenient! I asked all my friends and family to put a lot of books on it, and guess what? I ended up with almost 400 books on this thing! Crazy but very nice because now I always have some good stuff with me. I can’t dance, but maybe you can teach me?
