I joined about six months before a year-long around-the-world trip I took in 2014 so that I could host and learn more about the community. During my travels, I made connections with some of the most amazing people through this site. Can't wait to meet many more of you!

The Na Pali Coast on the Hawaiian island of Kauai is my all-time favorite destination. I have camped at Kalalau beach on four different occasions, twice by hiking the 11 mile trail and twice by kayaking. It is one of the most amazing places I have visited and there has always been a lot of adventure involved in getting there and back, whether it was crash landing our kayaks onto the beach or being helicoptered out after a friend badly injured her knee and couldn't do the return hike.

My interests have evolved throughout my life, but at the moment I spend the majority of my free time playing ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, slacklining, hiking, and traveling with friends. Past activities of interest, many of which I still enjoy on occasion, have included photography, juggling, snowboarding, scuba diving, playing poker and getting my private pilot's license. For work, I am an independent software programmer. Most recently, that has involved building software-as-a-service websites and iPhone applications.
