我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because it sounds like a cheap and cool way to meet people and travel at the same time. I love to travel, but I feel that staying at a hotel can deteriorate from the experience as it is a glamorized experience. Of course a hotel company is going to make the area sound wonderful and suggest you go to all the classic tourist sites, but I want to really understand the area I'm staying at. I want to meet the locals in order to get a better understanding of the area. It sounds cliche, but I don't want to be a typical tourist who goes to hotshot places, I want to go to the underground places that reveals what the city really is. Also, I don't want to be pampered like they do in hotels, I just want a real experience. That being said, I don't expect my host to go take me out and explore the city with me or have a wealth of knowledge about the area, it would be great if they offered an inside scoop, but at the end of the day I'm just looking for a cheap way to travel. So if a host can just offer me a bed a couch or really just a place to sleep, that's all I really need.

My all time favorite book is "The Little Prince". It seems like a regular childrens book, but it's a book that can be read by all ages.

One of the most amazing things I've done was two summers ago when I worked on a trail crew in Georgia. I applied to the Student Conservation Association, a non-profit organization that works to engage young with the environment, and they placed me on a trail crew in Georgia. There were seven other teenagers and two leaders on the crew, all of whom came from different places in America. We created and fixed trails in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. It was so awesome because I was able to meet people from all across the country and also be outside and make a difference.

I can offer intellectual conversation. Being in college, I love learning and developing my opinions, and I think the best way to do that is to talk to other people. I can give the "young person" perspective on certain subjects, and I also have a wealth of information that I've learned from my classes. I'm still figuring out my major, but I'm currently studying Environmental Science with a minor in Political Science. So if for some reason you have any questions about chemistry or calculus I can answer them!

I love the outdoors. I love to hike and bike and really do anything outside. I also love meeting new people. I also have an artistic side. I have an appreciation for "artsy" things such as films, art, music, dance, etc. I specifically have a passion for music and I dabble in playing many instruments such as the flute, guitar, and piano.
