It's just a dream right now, but with one daughter in college, one on her way and my youngest about to be in high school, I'm just exploring my options. There are so many places in the world I would like to visit and I would rather do so with a host and get to know the locals. I'm tired of all the tourist areas. I also had the pleasure of getting to know our oldest daughter's boyfriend, whom she met when he traveled here a few years ago via a host family from East Germany. It was an eye opening experience. I don't know the status of their future. I know they travel a lot and make every effort to see one another , but it's difficult. She is in college and he lives in Germany. He still visits and stays with his original host family. He is such a wonderful person.

My kids, the beach, travel, writing, reading, adventure, all water sports and activities, snow skiing, gardening, my dogs (a yellow lab and a mix breed who is kind of nuts) dining out, lazy Sunday's by the pool or watching movies, exploring, mysteries, unsolved mysteries.
