Hey! I’m Merel, from the beautiful city Delft in the Netherlands 😊. I’m Dutch and have a bit of Dutch-Indonesian roots as well. I am currently studying sustainable development at Uppsala University where I did my first year in Uppsala and second year in Marrakech. I am now based in Veldhoven/Eindhoven for a while. Let’s meet up and connect :) I would describe myself as an open minded and calm person with a broad range of interests. I love nature and outdoors, hiking, cities and their history and art, sustainability, mountains and way more 😄. I love traveling with Couchsurfing and Workaway, meeting locals and volunteering in sustainable projects.

To explore the world and meet great people along with it! Either while traveling or meeting Couchsurfers in my city. And share our languages, cultures, ideas etc.

I’m into all kinds of music, movies and books. I listen music ranging from Adele, Coldplay and some Dutch songs to music from different countries (Indonesian, Moroccan, Colombian, European,...). I like movies and books about history, nature, other cultures, inspiring lifes and stories with a message. 📚
