I recently left the career path I had been on for several years. I realized that being so heavily involved in the bar and nightclub industry was dragging me away from where I wanted to be as a person and was interfering with what I truly want out of life. Currently I have been running my own freelance business and couldn't be happier. I am looking forward to my fist big trip abroad and spending 7 weeks backpacking through SEA.

I would love to see the less tourist side of countries and cities I visit. Even in the US I tend to skip the tourist traps and look for the true gems of a place. This seems like a better way to actually make some friends while on the road. I also believe this will be the best way to practice and expand the small amount of Thai and Vietnamese I can speak for future travels.
