I'm Nikiwe, 22 years old, from Lincoln, UK. I'm a keen traveller who is soon to graduate and undertake a trip across the globe. I can't wait! This summer I'm returning for a second season at a summer camp in Maine, USA. I love the New England area, it's so picturesque, and am hoping to find some new, off the beaten track things to do this summer on my way up the coast.

We all know that money is tight when you travel. But more than that, I love meeting new people, learning about different areas, getting a local take on places so I can see the true and real side of them. Eventually I would love to return the favour when I'm settled somewhere and have the capacity to host others. I think Couchsurfing provides a great way to build relationships all over the globe and to really connect with people.

Beyoncé, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding - the list is too long!! I love the LOTR films, anything that will make me laugh too. Harry Potter has to be my favourite book - so many childhood memories!

I had the best summer of my life last year in the USA, working at a summer camp in Maine and then travelling to Boston, NYC, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Washington DC and then NYC to fly home.
