2018, I met a Canadian girl in Brazil, she was a member of Couchsurfing and she basically explained to me how it worked and the experiences she had on the platform. It simply blew my mind and later that year I experienced myself and it is definitely one of the best ways to get to know the country, the locals as well as the people travelling at the same time as you.

I don't know if that would be considered incredible or not, but I decided not to follow my family tradition and skip the uni my parents wanted me to go to do a completely different thing. Took a gap year and found myself through travelling and have been living abroad since! I have recently become a UK resident where I continue my marketing career plus I have jumped out of a PLANE lol (this is prob more exiting) lol
