CURRENT MISSION Start a business or two...settle down and have clear priorities...not let the sand get in the way of the golf balls. ABOUT ME As a surfer, I'm clean, polite, non-smoker, and I don't take much space.I'm happy if you want to show me around your town, but I actually quite enjoy just walking and discovering things for myself. For me the most important part of CS is the evening times where we can chat over a drink and share experiences. I love being able to go home to a local's house at the end of the day, share what I discovered in the town and get more insight about it from those who know best!I was born into a European family in the heart of the homeland USA. I never really felt at home there, so it was inevitable that I would begin moving as soon as possible. I left South Carolina to go to college in Florida at 19. A few years later, I was off to Saipan for a few months internship to finish university. After graduating, I soon moved to South Korea to spend 2 years there as an English teacher. Then I moved to Tokyo in 2005 at the age of 25.I stayed in Japan for just over 5 years, and then left for a world tour in August 2010.I got back to Japan around the end of 2011, and now I'm loving life back out here and thinking to be based here indefinitely. ^_^I started traveling at a young age - my first trip was at the age of 2 to Switzerland and Belgium to see family. In grade school I visited Venezuela 3 times and went back to Europe twice.I spent a month doing volunteer work living in a mud hut in the mountains of Haiti during uni, which inspired me to want to understand more about how to help people across the world. While I was living in Korea, I traveled the whole country by train and motorcycle - going somewhere different almost every weekend. From Japan and Korea I traveled to Thailand 3 times (1 month, 3 weeks, 2 weeks) and China once (1 week). From August 2010 until November 2011, I traveled across Asia and Europe, visiting 25 countries and having lots of awesome experiences! 我为什么使用Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've hosted many gatherings in Tokyo, and I've organized other leaders in Tokyo to try to build a more solid, consistent community. I also moderated the Tokyo message board as well as 3 other sub-message boards. As an ambassador, I shared my take on the CS Spirit with as many people as I could. I've hosted somewhere around 150 guests over my years as a CSer, and been a guest something like 30 or so times. And I look forward to meeting you! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I was much more active in CS before 2012...now less so, but I still like to host/surf. There are lots of awesome people in the community, and that's what keeps me here! :D

我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
I breathed air into my lungs, it moved flawlessly through my various internal systems, and somehow that created life and rational thought. That's pretty amazing, isn't it?
