I grew up in Germany and moved to Canada in 2016 to do the research part of my Master's program at University of Manitoba. I'm now done with that, and I'm spending this summer on the road, travelling Europe and North America so far, and who knows where I'll end up? I like exploring places, and I learned to value advise by locals a lot. I'm fine hanging out with new people, but i'm also fine doing my own thing, whichever works out.

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a good combination of meeting new people while travelling and finding a place to stay easily. So far, I mostly visited other people via couchsurfing, but I'm also happy to host if I can.
教学、学习、分享
I guess I'm quite good at improvising, i.e. fixing something with what I have or find. Otherwise, there's experiences, stories and that kind of stuff. Also, I love learning about different cultures and cuisines.
我能与房东分享的
Stories mostly. Also, I'm always up for a thoughtful discussion. Or just a casual beer or coffee.
我的兴趣
Back in Germany, I often helped out at my family's bee farm. I had a few hives myself, but I had to give them to a fried when moving to Canada. If I have the chance, I'd love to pick up beekeeping again. When I had my own honey, and lots of it, I started experimenting with brewing my own fruit wine and mead. I still have some in case you come visit me in Germany. I love music making. I play the piano and the organ, at least well enough to play in Sunday's worships. I also tried a bunch of other instruments, but never had the time to learn to play one reasonably well. By now, my interest in music is mostly early (i.e. pre-baroque) music, but I also enjoy jazz and contemporary music. While I was studying in Germany, I was part of the student council and as a student representative in the faculty council at my University. This brought me to a bunch of organisations representing student interests in negotiations with provincial and federal parliaments. This woke my interest in politics, because I learned that standing for one's case can make a difference. I like to think that if more people actually did that, many of the western world's problems would be less severe or not exist at all.
