Hello!! I'm originally from Idaho, and I do love my state :) but I also love leaving it to explore other countries, cultures, and cuisines around the world! I'm a conservation biologist, which has led to some amazing experiences, from living on a reservation in Central Kenya to mist-netting bats in Costa Rica, and I'm always open to a new adventure :) I go to school in Georgia where I am working towards my PhD in Integrative Conservation. I'm in DC through the end of July, and then I'm off to Bogota, Colombia to start doing my research! If you're in either of those two places, hit me up!

I love getting the local perspective on new cities I'm exploring. What better way than to stay with locals?! Or drink with locals?! I love all the nooks and crannies. It's hard to find them on your own in a short amount of time.

Music: EDM (Glitch Mob), folksy acoustic-y things (Lord Huron, Lumineers), rock (Seether, Hollywood Undead). Movies: Christopher Nolan's Batman series, Lord of the Rings, Wonder Woman. Books: It's hard to crack open books for leisure while in graduate school, but I try my best. Currently rereading Stephen King's Dark Tower series. All time favorites: Shantaram, Count of Monte Cristo, Sword of Truth series, Ken Follett's Century Trilogy.
