Hi there stranger, My name is Ruben van der Heide. I live in a small village in The Netherlands near Zwolle. My main goal in life is to feel free and meet a variety of people. I've got a very wide range of interests, and love to keep learning new stuff. For example I'm a homebrewer, so any weary traveler who i might host is surely welcomed with a fresh brew. I've always had a soft spot for any physical activities, such as hiking, cycling and such. But also I love watersports (kiteboarding, wakeboarding), martial arts (kickboksing, MMA) wintersports (skiing and snowboarding), adding running and mountainbiking makes me comfortable to say i'm an allround sportsy guy. When in not busy doing sports i like to attend concerts of various genres as well as having a good conversation about nearly any subject. When I'm traveling i prefer meeting local people as they know the hidden treasures of their daily environment. Also I like to travel alone, and starting at a local make the start of a trip so much easier. I feel at ease meeting new people and like to return that feeling to the people i meet.
