International student from Yemen, I currently live in the city of Lille. I also lived in the mystical city of Dunkerque for a couple of years, with its critical sight of an industrial port at bay. I was born in a beautiful ancient civilisation: Yemen, that still errupts with cultural diversity till this day and wish someday to remove it from the veils and bring that diversity to the global cultural scene. I have just finished my higher education studies in Culture & Media and I am now interested in specialising in audiovisual studies, image/sound engineering, etc. Note: Im still beginner.

I have just recently joined the world of couchsurfing and my profile is not at its fullest. I am interested in couch surfing because I'm very attached to the idea of exchanging stories, whatever their kind, sharing my alien culture but also in hearing about different views, critics, and cultural references. I often move around for festivals, explorations, internships or just simply to see friends.

Music: It of course always depends on the mood and the quality of the performance/artist but my taste lies within the genres of trip hop, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, metal, jazz, blues, acid house, hip hop, dub, world music, oriental music, and all sorts of yemeni music genres. Movies: countless... Although at the moment I recommend Withnail and I for those who are interested. Series: Adventure Time, Mad Men, The Office. Books: Too personal

Hiked the Tatry mountain in Zakopane Poland. Touched the Ukrainien soil. Fought to become independent in a time of struggle for women in my country.

I can teach Arabic, English and French language lessons, Yemeni cuisine and give tips on photography. Willing to learn handcraft creations or how to use electronic devices that emit sound/image, their terminology, the funny buttons, anything practical really. I learn quick!
