I think it is great way for people to share new ideas, cultures, and experiences. Hosting or staying with someone on couch-surfing can give you a more immersive travel experience as well as connect you with people from all over the world.

I worked as an English teacher in Peru over the summer and had the most incredible experience! I loved my kids and learned a lot about Peruvian society, history, and culture. I sang reggae in Argentina and backpacked through South America. I also used to work as an International Trip leader and would take students in adventure tours where they learned about other cultures and environmental sustainability.
