Hello I'm Shakti, a travelling artist from Hong Kong. I mostly do installation, workshops, and portraits. My work hopes to explore human psychology, kinship, togetherness; or the pure physical experience (of sounds, of space). And now I write lyrics and sing too :P I lived in Hong Kong, London, Sao Paulo, and Lima. I studied psychology and deeply interested in anthropology, sociology, or any studies about human! I love any conversations that discuss culture, family, the mind, memory. And I LOVE independent books and artist books. My favouirte thing to do when travelling (other than meeting the people and learning about the local food) is to find independent book stores and buy and support locally published books or zines. I also love camping. I once camped in an abandoned barn in a -10°C snow mountain in Tibet. I love immersing in cultures and different ways of living. I lived in the indigenous village of To Karunsi'e Dongi, in South Sulawesi Indonesia for a month, and been a shepard in a farm in Wales.

My favourite thing to share is food! Food making is an experience and it speaks so much about our culture and personal histories. I would love to make asian food with you, and share recipes from regions with unique flavours (Yunnan and Guizhou cuisines are my favourite!). Chat with me on what do you wanna make! (savoury, sweet, spicy, ingredients, from what region etc. ) Alternatively, I could bring some Asian snacks or quick meals. We could also make handicraft if that's your thing!
