To get an insider's look at the locations I'll visit and to give one to people who'll visit (whenever I get a place to host people). I also, of course, want to meet as many people as possible.

For music, I'd have to go with prog with bands like Gentle Giant, Tool and Between the Buried and me (no matter how differently proggish they are one from the other). I couldn't name a favorite movie or book but I enjoy a wide variety of those, from sci-fi to slice of life or thrillers. I've read as much as I could and found a special place in my heart for J.D. Salinger and would gladly recommend Nine Stories to anyone and everyone.
