We live in a crazy chaotic world that is in constant fluctuation, and I think it's my duty to learn as much about it as I can. Studying only got me so far, but through firsthand experiences a fuller picture can more easily emerge. I am seeking to create dialogues with all people about any and all topics. Only through a productive dialogue can we grow and develop properly as a global society.

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I think one of the best way to learn about a place is through the people who live there. So, this seems like an easy way to meet locals before even getting to a place. Although hostels are a good way to meet people, often the people staying there are as clueless as I am about the real local spots, and hostels often just offer the mainstream tourist spots (I'm looking to really discover unique places to get closer to cultures around the world).

我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
While hanging out at the second annual climbing competition in Guilin, China I surprised myself by slacklining for 40 continuous minutes without touching the ground. Now prior to this day if anyone had asked me how long I thought I could stay on a slackline I would have said maybe five minutes. But after watching one man (who did not fit the stereotype of athletic) go before me and stay on the line for 25 minutes I knew that I should to challenge myself and see what I could really do. 40 minutes later I stepped off the line completely surprised with myself and a bit sweaty.
我能与房东分享的
I am up for nearly anything, and ready to share any knowledge I have including: - slacklining (currently have a small travel size one) - acro yoga (partner acrobatic yoga, super fun!) - rock climbing (not an advanced climber but a fun climber) - scuba diving (I'm a certified PADI Instructor) I've also spent the last 2 and a half years living in southeast China and exploring southeast Asia. Ready to share any an all firsthand knowledge that I have about my experiences.
