My name is Sophie, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Germany. I grew up in the South of Germany and then studied International Business in beautiful Bamberg. During my studies I had the opportunity to live in France twice - one time in Angers during my Bachelor's degree and one time in Montpellier during my Master's degree. Now I'm finishing my studies and moved to Leiden in The Netherlands. In the beginning the idea was to just do an internship there and then go back to Germany, but now I'm very excited to be able to stay and start my professional career in The Netherlands.

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I'm still new on couchsurfing. So far I haven't hosted anybody and never stayed at somebody's place. But I'd like to change that and that's why I'm on couchsurfing. The main reason I'm on Couchsurfing is: I like to travel. And when I travel, I like to meet and connect with people from the place I visit, so that I can really get to know the place. Because only the locals know where to go, what to see, where to eat, ... And I want to learn from you and your culture and do what the locals do, so that I get the best experience.

I'm open to any kind of music, movies or books, so I just listen, read, watch whatever somebody recommends. That can be quite interesting though, because you find cool stuff that you'd never find if you stick with always the same things.

My greatest experience was staying at an elephant camp in Thailand. I only stayed for three days which was way too short but I'd love to go back for a longer time. We worked with the elephants, were able to ride them and go in the river with them. Just amazing!

As I enjoy cooking, I can always offer my cooking skills to you. But I can also teach some German, and I enjoy having good conversations about culture, politics, and pretty much anything. I'm a curious person, so I love to get to know people and cultures.

I like to travel, play soccer, go hiking, in the winter time I love to go skiing and sledding. In general I just love to be outside and and hang out with friends. But sometimes I also just like to stay home and watch a movie. :)
