Aspiring German/English as a foreign language teacher who just graduated. I've been a volunteer English teacher for refugees in Australia for 2 years and it has made me feel so appreciative for my passport and the freedom I have to travel because I want to, not because I need to. Currently in a happy relationship so I'm just looking to make friends through couchsurfing! I'm more than happy to help out in the kitchen or with the housework for a stay and a chat. I'm also a fairly strict vegetarian, but I'm happy to self-cater if I need to! I can also cook you something if you're interested!

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
I'm interested in showing people around Melbourne. Unfortunately I'm not in position to host right now, but hope to be able to host in 2017. Currently I'm not very close to Melbourne but live in the Yarra Valley, which I'm more than happy to show people around!

Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Florence and the Machine, but I also enjoy trap and deep house rave vibes, as well as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and others. Movies: 28 Days Later, Vier Minuten.

I moved to Austria for 5 months to study in 2014.

I love conversations about politics and language! I'm a bit of a nerd in that way... I also used to work in a pharmacy in Australia so learned a lot about that industry as well and hold mixed views towards it.
我能与房东分享的
Conversations about language and culture. I'm not an awful cook either, and I'm super tolerant of most things and love when people open my eyes to something I never realised.
我的兴趣
Reading, learning languages, travelling. I have an interest in German and Austrian history, having studied these topics in my undergraduate. I also have an interest in linguistics and the history of languages. History in general fascinates me, I'm that nerd who will go to the boring museums. I like anything to do with cold war history and cultural history, but I'm not a huge fan of art museums. I also studied Arabic in my undergrad but have forgotten a lot of the language. Learning about the culture (I was in the Gulf) changed many of my misheld apprehensions.
