We grew up in central Illinois but now reside in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. We're going through some changes with 2 new jobs and a baby (Miriam) at the moment so it may not be super likely that we can host. Might be worth a shot to request a couch though! Allison doesn't use the site much so I'm speaking mostly for myself in this section. I strongly believe life is more about the experiences we have opposed to the possessions that we accumulate. I love interacting with different kinds of people and hearing different perspectives. I most enjoy hanging out with people that are not afraid to speak their mind. So let's drink some booze and talk about stuff.

I've surfed and hosted in the U.S. and in Europe. I was exposed to couchsurfing through my study abroad program in Europe and believe it is a far greater tool for travel than staying in a resort or hotel. I'd like to experience local culture rather than go to Applebees.
