I've traveled throughout Latin America and love meeting new people and cultures. Some of my favorite places include the Dominican Republic (where I now live!), Brazil, and of course - good old Ohio. I'm an English Speaking Coach for IT professionals, which is a fancy way of saying an online teacher/entrepreneur. I'm happily married, so please, no dating messages 😅

I want to meet friends and get to know the actual locals and culture of the place where I am traveling. I'm not a fan of hostels. Instead, I prefer to know the authentic culture and people of the country I am in (which is why Couchsurfing is so cool!).

While traveling in Chile, I was able to follow around a Chilean gold miner for his entire day of work. We entered the mine, extracted some rocks, worked on some machines, and sold 3 grams of gold at the end of the day!
