Hostels etc. are one way of staying in places while traveling. I have definitely met amazing personalities and had some good times. However, I think the best way of getting to know a country with all its facets is to get to know the people living there. Not only have I learned so many new things about the country and culture but also different personalities and different views of life. I'm sure that all the people you meet in your life fulfill a certain purpose. It is a giving and taking, both the couchsurfer and the host can learn something from each other and grow as a person in order to become a better self. - ABOUT COUCHSUFING - No, I'm definitely !! NOT!! looking just for a couch to sleep on. I'm looking for the personality, for the character and life of the couch-owner. Meeting new people, getting to know a new culture and way of life is the most incredible and precious experience one can make!
