Retired to Bohol a while back. Years ago, when this platform was new I was a host and participant while living in the USA. Though back then few people toured to my area. Now live where all my friends want to visit. I have regular guests. And from time to time I take in new people. FYI Balay Amarilyo is the name of the house. It means 'House of Marigolds.' I like flowers.

Nowhere. The "Everyone must see..." "Everyone need to try..." "one size fits all" mentality is a mistake. It is based on the idea that one person (you) has had an experience that everyone else must also enjoy. It says, "I enjoyed this, so you have to also experience this." Nothing wrong with saying, "I really enjoyed this place, I think you would enjoy it as well." But deciding what someone else 'should' do is a bit on the nose for the plague of pretentious imperialist travelers. (The old grouchy man has spoken.)
