Because it's a great community to meet nice and interesting people. When I am home it is great to host people from all around the world. And when I am travelling, it is great to be able to be hosted by locals. So, the deal makes perfect sense to me :)

I am a serious film buff, music lover and enthusiast reader, so making a brief list would be an impossible endeavour. But… at least not to leave this space so empty, here are a few: Music: Bowie, Beatles, Spinetta. Joy Division. Literature: Borges, Arlt, Dostoievski, Kafka. Film: Antonioni, Tarr, Ozu, Tarkovski. etc, etc, etc.
