We’ll kick things off with lunch at Plank, a popular local spot offering a variety of delicious dishes, from craft beers to tasty bites. After lunch, we’ll stroll along the beautiful waterfront then chill at Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon -- a quirky dive bar dating back to the 1880s, offering rich history (it survived the 1906 earthquake!) and a unique, old-school vibe. We will then hop on the Oakland Ferry and take a scenic ride across the Bay to San Francisco. Going under the Bay Bridge, this ride will offer stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco skyline. ($4.70 ticket). As we disembark, we'll check out the iconic Ferry Building, explore the marketplace, taste some local specialties, and head out to some pubic spaces in Embarcadero for an arts and gardens walk. We'll end the day taking another ferry back to Jack London Square and wrap it up at Yoshi's for live jazz music and maybe some bites. Note: Please wear comfortable shoes as there might be a lot of walking.
